    Dr. Merzak, président fondateur de l'Institut Territorium à Ottawa-Ontario et du Groupe Territorium au Maroc, est actif dans le domaine de l'innovation, le transfert de technologie et la recherche pour le développement. Avec une expérience antérieure en tant qu'enseignant-chercheur à l'Université de Paris-Saclay et au King's College de l'Université de Londres, il travaille à l'élaboration de systèmes d'innovation socio-techniques, visant à soutenir les secteurs privé et public dans la réalisation des Objectifs de Développement Durable et des cibles de l'Accord de Paris. Son groupe développe des plateformes en ligne pour faciliter l'apprentissage social et la planification de projets durables. Dr. Merzak a participé à la création de partenariats internationaux et a fondé des forums dans le domaine de la gouvernance, du digital, de la biotechnologie et du développement territorial. Son expérience comprend des rôles de création, de management et de consulting. Sur le plan académique, il a occupé des postes d'enseignant-chercheur dans des universités réputées en Europe et au Moyen Orient et a reçu plusieurs distinctions. Il détient un doctorat en biologie moléculaire et cellulaire du cancer de l'Université Paris-Diderot, ainsi que d'autres diplômes académiques.
